The first fifteen years of my career as an artist were
spent making sculpture using fired clay painted with enamel.
In the mid 70’s I was asked to teach at my Father, Glen
Fishback’s school of photography in Sacramento. At
this point I transitioned to photography as my primary
medium. I began making portraits of artists in 1979 with
Robert Arneson, my mentor in clay in the 60’s, posing first.
