"I am the type that sees faces in the tree trunks and
landscapes in the scrapes on the floor of my studio... I love to paint
figures. I like the way people stand around in groups or alone, taking
naps on the beach or watching other people.” This creative spirit allows
the compositions to hold no particular bounds. The paintings come from
the subconscious, thus dealing with a more playful kind of artistic
endeavour. “I want my paintings my paintings to be active, vibrant,
interesting, yummy and gooey. I want them to be high-spirited and dance
to a rhythmical beat on the wall. I work hard to balance the elements
and to keep a fresh approach to compositional problem solving.
Most of all I want the people who view my paintings to feel uplifted by
the beauty of humanity.” -- Robin Leddy Giustina
