Paul Stein
studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and at Marguerite Wildenhain's
Pond Farm.
Stein creates elegant and contemporary bowls, jars, vessels, and sculpture
in clay and porcelain. His choice of glaze colors and patterning are
gracefully pleasing. Whether he has geometrically carved and incised,
utilized cut-out imagery to add depth and dimension, or used sculpture or
low bas-relief to embellish his work, each of his pieces reflect a
timeless and classic aesthetic sense.
