“My work uses the language of form and
space to create impression and emotion in the viewer. The elements
of this language that I consciously employ include balance, flow,
tension, negative space and implied movement. I am incessantly
exploring the impact of spaces and forms on one another to arrive at
the final orchestration of any completed work. I believe it was Paul
Klee who said that much of art is “exactitude winged by intuition”
which I think perfectly describes how I determine what works and
what doesn’t when I am involved in the sculpting process .
The current group of works explore form
focusing on emerging, converging and transitioning which is
metaphorically represented in titles that relate to the Garden of
Eden.” -- Marilyn Kuksht
