You might say that this invitational show entitled "Relative Talents" is a family affair, exploring the exceptional artistic abilities shared between close family members. Many of the artists we nurture at Solomon Dubnick are related. By adding to this amazingly talented roster of kinfolk, the gallery has created an exhibition in which each artist makes a unique contribution. Through the work of some of our creative couples, we can see how equally imaginative minds drive one another forward, serving as each other’s muse and inspiration. Within families, the influence of one generation’s work on the next generation is clearly apparent. Even if the genre varies dramatically, the viewer is drawn to how these talented artists are following in the footsteps of their elders to create exciting works of art in their own right.

The show highlights the following artists: spouses Mel and Leta Ramos and their son Skot, Jane and Ed Goldman (married), D.L. and Dean Thomas (twin brothers), Doris Solomon and her son David, Alan Post and his son David, father and son Tom and Jeff Myers, Sisters Davina and Barbara Dubnick, Russ and Mike Solomon (father and son), Helen Post and her Granddaugher Erin, Tom Rippon and his aunt Ruth, John Landgraf and his daughter Jago, Paula Wenzl and her husband Joseph Bellacera, Larry and Jay Welden (father and son), Kim Dinnen and Tommie Moller (daughter and mother) and Gary Dinnen and his brother-in-law Jack Moran.
